Welcome and Meet Your Tour Guide
- Your experienced Mystic Egypt Tours guide will greet you and accompany you on a fascinating day tour to explore the Giza Pyramids, Memphis, and Sakkara.
Visit to the Giza Pyramids
- Start your tour by witnessing the iconic Egyptian pyramids. Explore the Great Pyramid of King Khufu (Cheops), the second pyramid of King Khafra (Chephren), and the third pyramid of King Menkaure (Mycerinus) at the Giza Necropolis, all from the Old Kingdom.
The Great Sphinx and Valley Temple
- Next, visit the Great Sphinx, the legendary statue guarding the pyramids, followed by the Valley Temple, built by King Chephren for the preservation of his body. You’ll also have time to take photos at the Giza Scenic Plateau and, for an additional fee, enjoy a 30-minute camel ride around the area for 200 Egyptian pounds.
Lunch Break
- After exploring the pyramids, enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing your journey.
Step Pyramid of King Zoser at Sakkara
- Head to the ancient site of Sakkara, home to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest known pyramid in Egypt, built during the 3rd Dynasty. This remarkable structure is considered the first large stone building in history.
Exploring Dahshur Pyramids
- While at Sakkara, enjoy panoramic views of the nearby Dahshur pyramids, including the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both built by King Sneferu, father of King Cheops. You can also visit the Pyramid of Teti and the tombs of the nobles at Sakkara, offering insights into daily life in ancient Egypt.
Visit to Memphis
- Next, take a short 20-minute drive to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you’ll visit the open-air museum. See the stunning alabaster Sphinx and the massive statue of Ramses II, among other impressive relics from Egypt’s past.
Return to Your Hotel
- After an enriching day of exploration, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel to conclude your tour.
